Beginner Reading Design
This lesson teaches children about vowel correspondences . In order to be able to read, children must learn to recognize the spellings that map word pronunciations. In this lesson children will learn to recognize, spell, and read words containing the spelling with vowel correspondences.
Growing Independence and Fluency
To comprehend reading, you must be a fluent reader. Students must practice expression, pace, and comprehension if they want to read effortlessly and automatically. Effortless word recognition allows students to reflect on what they are reading. Through reading, decoding, crosschecking, mental marking, and rereading.
